The dining room smelled of fresh lemon. As you poked about, you noticed just how clean it was. The only thing that was off was a piece of wax that had fallen onto one of the floral baskets. The room was otherwise spic and span. 

The drawing room had to be the area with the most evidence, being the scene of the murder and all. It took a long while to scour, but in the end, you found a bloodied knife, a blood-soaked glove, a tiny scale next to the phone, and traces of mud just under Mrs Elmsberry's chair.

Just for the sake of being thorough, you checked the foyer. You saw a bunch of wet coats, muddy footprints, and mud on the carpet. With all the mud, it was too hard to tell whose was whose. However, one set of footprint did point to the kitchen before they stopped. It was a little curious.
